Penelope Gibson — MSc PhD

Penelope, started her career as a technical author in the field of music technology. She went on to manage intellectual property rights for some of the UK’s most successful musicians—Pink Floyd, Iron Maiden and David Bowie—and was involved in the creation of new models for intellectual property monetisation, the ‘Bowie Bonds’.

Having completed her PhD in patent law, and qualifying as a patent attorney and trade mark attorney, she pioneered a new intellectual property management model for high-growth potential technology start-ups. The model was acknowledged as ‘best practice’ in a UK government review.

Penelope is recognised as one of the world’s top advisors, is a regular guest speaker at international conferences. Through QUEDO, Penelope provides legal services to clients in Europe, the USA, China and Australasia.
